Swim-a-Thon was a success!
PRAC's first ever Swim-a-Thon was a splashing success! More than a dozen participants collectively swam over 50 miles and completed over 40 aerobics classes. Their generous sponsors raised enough funds to allow us to remain open through the fall season and give us a headstart on meeting the huge challenge of raising enough to fully fund our planned 2027 pool schedule.
Well done to everyone who swam and much gratitude to everyone who sponsored a swimmer! This may become our new annual event!!
Sponsorship Opportunities to Fund the Pool
See how your dollars can fund key functions at the pool!
The Patagonia Regional Aquatics Center needs your help to keep the Patagonia Pool open this summer and fall for use by the patrons in eastern Santa Cruz County. PRAC is fully responsible for operating this community facility including lifeguard payroll, chemicals, and maintenance. We will not be able to continue operating this vital facility without an infusion of money and volunteers. In peak summer season, it costs about $1,000 to operate the pool each day and that figure would be higher if it weren’t for our amazing volunteers who open and close the pool, as well as clean it and keep the chemicals balanced.
Your sponsorship of key functions can help keep the pool open.
Please consider donating the following:
$50 pays to heat the pool for one day
$100 pays a swim instructor for two hours
$250 pays for chemicals for a week
$500 pays for teen lifeguards for one week
$1000 pays for one day of pool operations
$2500 pays for a month of spring or fall Water Aerobics
Your gift, in any amount helps provide summer jobs for teens and keeps admission free for kids age 12 and under.
Note: All amounts are approximate based on 2026 budgeted values.
Unrestricted donations will be used where needed.
